Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup faces major setback
Recently released Samsung Galaxy S25 series has already hit setback even before being properly shipped to the customers.
Even before the Galaxy S25 series was released, there were concerns that it may be prone to overheating.
The smiler issue was face by three other smartphones, which featured the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip being used in the Samsung S25 lineup. The chip is reportedly prone to overheating.
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy S25 series is facing the same overheating issues. He said that while the Galaxy S25 Ultra only heats up mildly, the regular model gets noticeably hot.
The chipset offered around 40 percent faster performance than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that powers the Galaxy S24 and huge power leaps like these often come with overheating issues.
To tackle the issue, Samsung has increased the size of vapor chamber in the Galaxy S5 series, which is about 40 percent bigger than its predecessor.
However, it looks like the bigger heating system wasn’t enough to prevent the phones from overheating.
Some users have already started complaining about the issue in the internet.
It appears that the phone gets warm during routine use and unbearably hot while charging. More worryingly, they get hot during normal use, while users are doing lightweight tasks such as browsing social media apps.
One user said that their unit got so hot that they could feel it through the case.
Not all users have experienced overheating though, so the problem might not be widespread.
