Mehar Bano Qureshi arrested for violating Section 144, AJK opposition leader house arrested

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is observing black day today on the completion of one year of the general elections to be held on February 8, 2025.
Despite the imposition of Section 144 in Punjab, PTI workers are protesting in different cities, while the PTI has also organized a rally in Swabi.
Police arrested Mehr Bano Qureshi, daughter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, former MPA Zahid Bahar Hashmi and Daler Mahar from Multan for violating Section 144.
Police said that the three PTI leaders were arrested from Pul Chatta for violating Section 144, besides more than 10 PTI workers were also arrested for taking out a rally.
In Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, several PTI workers were detained after they tried to protest at Azadi Chowk.
Leader of the Opposition in the AJK Legislative Assembly and PTI Leader Khawaja Farooq escaped from police custody to evade arrest.
The police had made Khawaja Farooq sit in the worker’s car instead of sitting in the car, but the worker driver drove the vehicle before the police could board, the police kept running behind Khawaja Farooq’s car.
