The Petrol Dealers Association on Tuesday announced to call off their strike following a meeting with Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik.
They had announced to go on strike from tomorrow (Wednesday) March 04. Following the discussions, the dealers decided to withdraw their strike plan.
The association stated that there would be no change in profit margin for petrol pump dealers.
The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of OGRA and officials from the Petroleum Division. During the hurdle, petroleum dealers strongly opposed the proposal to deregulate fuel prices.
The input of the Dealers Association will be fully considered in the deregulation of the petroleum sector, report suggest.
