US NSA calls Dar, thanks him for anti-terrorism measures
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and the US National Security Advisor held a telephonic conversation in which the latter thanked Pakistan for its measures against terrorism.
According to the Foreign Office spokesman, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz.
The US National Security Advisor conveyed President Trump’s gratitude and appreciation to the government of Pakistan for its counter-terrorism efforts.
Dar congratulated the US National Security Advisor on his assumption of office and hoped that Pakistan would further strengthen its longstanding and broad-based relationship with President Trump and his administration.
He reiterated his commitment to continue cooperation with the United States in the field of counter-terrorism and appreciated President Trump’s announcement to return American military equipment left in Afghanistan.
The two sides pledged to enhance cooperation in the areas of IT, energy and minerals. They also agreed on the need to continue discussions on trade, investment, climate change and health issues to advance the broader agenda of mutual cooperation.
