US may lose power supply from Canada

Ontario Chief Minister Doug Ford has threatened to cut off electricity supply to the US if President Donald Trump continues his tariff war against Canada.

The US states of New York, Michigan and Minnesota are supplied with thousands of megawatts of electricity from the Canadian province of Ontario. 1.5 million American Canadians live in these US states.

It is also possible for Doug Ford to sell his electricity to the United States by making it more expensive, thus intensifying the trade war between the two neighbors.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump once again expressed his desire to make Canada the 51st state of the United States.

Why do we pay hundreds of billions of dollars to subsidize Canada? Canada should become our 51st state, in that case Canada would have better military protection and no tariffs.
