Thanks for hosting the Champions Trophy, says Jay Shah without taking Pakistan’s name

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the successful conduct of the Champions Trophy 2025 that finally ended on Sunday.
Pakistan hosted the prestigious ICC event 29 years after the 1996 World Cup, which was played in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi from February 19 to March 9, but a semi-final and India’s matches were scheduled in the neutral venue Dubai.
In an official statement posted on the ICC website, Chief Executive Geoff Allardice appreciated the PCB’s efforts in organizing the event, highlighting the renovation of large stadiums and the preparation of competitive grounds.
“We would like to thank and congratulate the Pakistan Cricket Board for hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 very well,” Allardice said.
Allardice also praised the Emirates Cricket Board’s (UAE) role in hosting five matches in Dubai, recognizing their continued support in organizing major ICC events.
