Good news for passport applicants in Pakistan – Check here

The passport printing process in Pakistan is set to become faster as new high-tech printers have been delivered to the Directorate General of Immigration and Passport.

These modern printers, imported from Germany, include two e-printers and six desktop printers. A foreign technical team has also arrived in Pakistan to assist with their installation, which will be completed soon.

Faster Printing with Advanced Technology

DG Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi visited the e-printer section and was briefed on the installation by foreign experts. He stated that these modern printers have the capacity to print 1,000 passports per hour, significantly improving both speed and quality. More e-printers are expected to arrive next month, further enhancing the process.

Pakistan Passport Fee – March 2025

The passport fee in normal and urgent categories stands unchanged as of January 2025.

  • 36-page passport (5 years) – Rs 4,500 (Normal), Rs 7,500 (Urgent)
  • 36-page passport (10 years) – Rs 6,700 (Normal), Rs 11,200 (Urgent)
  • 72-page passport (5 years) – Rs 8,200 (Normal), Rs 13,500 (Urgent)
  • 100-page passport (10 years) – Rs 12,400 (Normal), Rs 20,200 (Urgent)

With the introduction of these advanced printers, the passport issuance process is expected to become much quicker and more efficient in the coming months.
