Starlink moves closer to launch in Pakistan after regulatory clearance
Starlink internet in Pakistan: Latest updates on launch and availability
Elon Musk’s satellite-based internet service, Starlink, has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Pakistan Space Activities Regulatory Authority (PSARA), a crucial step toward its official launch in the country.
The approval was granted after clearance from the Ministry of Interior, paving the way for Starlink to begin operations. According to media reports, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is expected to issue the final licenses within the next two weeks.
Starlink has already submitted its application, including detailed technical and business plans, to the PTA for review.
The company has successfully completed three registration phases in Pakistan. It has secured approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and PSARA.
The final step is obtaining PTA registration, with authorities currently assessing the documents to ensure compliance with local network regulations.
