Ali Zafar to sign official PSL X anthem

Renowned singer, songwriter and composer, Ali Zafar will be making his return to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with a melodious anthem for the season 10.

The anthem is composed by Ali Zafar, which will be released soon, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said.

The singer previously composed and sang anthems in four PSL editions. His 2017 anthem ‘Ab Khel Jamay Ga’ still remains the benchmark for cricket anthems in Pakistan.

In 2016, Zafar composed and performed Ab Khel Ke Dikha, followed by Ab Khel Jamay Ga in 2017, the following year, he released Dil Se Jaan Laga De as PSL’s season 3 anthem.

However, after PSL3, the anthem featured various artists such as: in 2019, Khel Deewano Ka, performed by Fawad Khan and Young Desi and written by Shuja Haider, the 2020 anthem Tayyar Hain sang by Ali Azmat, Haroon, Asim Azhar, and Arif Lohar, 2021 anthem Groove Mera featured Aima Baig, Naseebo Lal, and Young Stunners, the 2022 anthem Agay Dekh, featured Atif Aslam and Aima Baig, with lyrics by Abdullah Siddiqui and Natasha Noorani, and the 2023 anthem Sab Sitaray Humaray, was performed by Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, and Faris Shafi.

Last year, Ali Zafar made his much-anticipated PSL comeback with Khul Ke Khel, which also featured Aima Baig.

The highly anticipated 10th edition of the PSL is set to commence on Friday, April 11, with defending champions Islamabad United taking on two-time winners Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
