Khamenei says Quds Day always a sign of strength and unity of Iranian nation

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic revolution  has said that the international Quds Day march today (Friday) will be one of the best and most magnificent marches.

In a televised message, the Leader said: “Quds Day is always a sign of the strength and unity of the Iranian nation.”

He added that it is also a sign that the Iranian’s are steadfast in their important, political, and fundamental goals, and will not abandon the slogan of supporting Palestine.

It is to be mentioned here that the Al-Quds Day or Quds Day is an annual, international day that is marked every year on the last Friday of Ramazan with the view to express support for Palestine and oppose the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.

On the occasion, large rallies are organised after the the Friday prayers.

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, had established Quds Day back in 1979 after the Islamic Revolution in Iran to express solidarity with Palestinians. The day has since become a symbol of resistance.

The Leader further said that for the last 46 years, the fasting Iranian nation has participated in the Quds Day marches with a turnout not only in large cities but also in small towns and villages.

Khamenei stressed that the importance of this year’s Quds Day march is more than in previous years.
