Govt slashes petrol price for next fortnight

The federal government late on Friday announced to slash petrol prices by Re1 per litre for the next fortnight, effective March 29, 2025.
The relief was offered consumers amid fluctuating global oil rates. Petrol will now be available at Rs254.63 per litre, reflecting a decrease from Rs255.63.
The government has kept the prices of the high-speed diesel (HSD) unchanged at Rs258.64 per litre.
“The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has worked out the consumer prices of petroleum products, based on the price variations in the international market,” the notification stated.
It is worth mentioning here that, the government had maintained petroleum prices on March 15 for the fortnight.
