Pakistan to celebrate Eid ul Fitr tomorrow after Shawwal moon sighted
Pakistan will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow (Monday), as the Shawwal moon was sighted in several cities including Lahore, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.
The moon was first seen in Lahore shortly after Maghrib prayers on Sunday. Following this, the central moon sighting committee held a meeting to officially confirm the sighting of the crescent.
This moon sighting marks the end of Ramadan and the start of the month of Shawwal, which means Eid will be celebrated the next day.
In Karachi, experts had predicted the moon would be visible for about 70 minutes, from 6:39 PM to 7:57 PM.
The committee carefully reviewed all reports from across the country before officially announcing the end of Ramadan and confirming that Eid will be observed on Monday.
