FDE Launches New Textbooks for Grades 1 to 5 in Islamabad Schools

Islamabad’s Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has officially introduced a new series of textbooks for Grades 1 to 5, set to be implemented across the capital’s educational institutions from the academic year 2025.

These updated textbooks aim to enhance the classroom experience by incorporating interactive content, student-centered learning approaches, and a strong focus on 21st-century skills.

To ensure accessibility, the textbooks will be available online, allowing students and teachers nationwide to benefit from these advanced learning materials.

A Step Toward Digital Learning

Under the directives of the Federal Secretary for Education, digital versions of the textbooks will be pre-installed in ICT lab computers and the newly introduced Chromebooks in schools.

“For students who prefer printed books, each textbook is embedded with QR codes, granting quick access to extensive online learning resources,” the Federal Secretary stated.

• Aligned with National Curriculum: The textbooks fully comply with Pakistan’s educational standards, integrating a Learning Management System (LMS) to provide teachers with structured lesson plans.
