President Zardari, Chinese Ambassador discuss regional peace
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong met with President Asif Ali Zardari at the President House to discuss Pakistan-China ties and the regional situation, especially after the recent Pahalgam incident that worsened tensions between Pakistan and India.
President Zardari expressed serious concern over India’s “irresponsible and aggressive” remarks, warning that such actions could threaten regional peace.
In response, Ambassador Jiang reaffirmed the strong and time-tested bond between China and Pakistan, calling them “iron brothers” who always support one another.
He thanked President Zardari for sharing Pakistan’s viewpoint and assured that China fully supports Pakistan’s efforts to maintain peace in South Asia. Jiang also emphasized that both countries share the goal of regional stability and harmony.
President Zardari appreciated China’s consistent support, especially during difficult times, and praised China for being a trustworthy and dependable ally.
The meeting highlighted the strategic strength of the Pakistan-China partnership amid rising tensions and shifting dynamics in the region.
