PCB postpones domestic tournaments amid security concerns
Lahore, May 10, 2025 — The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the postponement of several domestic cricket tournaments in light of the ongoing security situation across the country.
According to an official statement from the PCB, the following events have been suspended with immediate effect:

President’s Trophy Grade
-
Regional Intra-District Challenge Cup
-
Inter-District U19 One-Day Tournament
The board confirmed that all these tournaments will resume from the same stage once the security environment stabilizes.
Women’s T20 Tournament Continues in Karachi
Meanwhile, the National Women’s T20 Tournament — currently underway in Karachi — will continue as scheduled. Sources within the PCB stated that the decision was made because the entire women’s competition is centralized in one city, thereby minimizing logistical and security risks.
The PCB said it remains committed to the safety of players, staff, and officials and is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with local authorities.
