Operation Bunyan Al-Marsus: Pakistan’s retaliation to Indian missile strikes

Operation Bunyan Al-Marsus
This is the reference to the editorial (May 14) on the recent tension between Pakistan and India that has escalated into a significant military confrontation, marking the most severe conflict between the two nations in nearly three decades.
So firstly, you have to know how this conflict started. On (22 April 2025), India attacked in Pahalgam, resulting in the death of 26 civilians.
And they attributed the attack to Pakistan , a claim that Pakistan denied.
In response on 23 April 2025, India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty and closed the Attari-Wagah border, expelled Pakistani diplomats, and revoked visas for Pakistani nationals.
And on May 6-7, 2025, India launched “Operation Sindoor.” The operation involved missile strikes on Bahawalpur and Muzaffarabad and also some drone strikes on Rawalpindi, Karachi, and some cities of Pakistan. During these attacks, at least 31 civilians, including children, were killed , with over 46 others injured, and while defending, Pakistan knocked out five Indian jets—three D-assault Rafales , one MIG-29, and one SU-30 MKI—and also took down 78 Indian drones.
But on May 8, 2025, Pakistan responded by launching “Operation Bunyan Al-Marsus,” shooting down multiple Indian drones and launching its own strikes on Indian bases and destroying Adampur Air Force Station. During this period, Pakistan reportedly launched cyberattacks on Indian infrastructures , including Indian defense systems, railways, and financial institutions.
After four days of conflict (May 10, 2025), both countries agreed to a ceasefire brokered by international diplomatic efforts .
