Pakistani actress and mother Iqra Aziz has spoken out after a disturbing video went viral, showing a parent slapping his young child in public. The incident took place in DHA Raya, Lahore, and was captured by two video creators who happened to be filming nearby.

In the footage, the child appears to be having a tantrum—a common behavior in children—when the father suddenly slapped him across the face in full public view. The video has since sparked outrage across social media platforms.

Iqra Aziz, known for her strong parenting values and commitment to raising her son Kabir Hussain with compassion, shared the video on her Instagram story. In her message, she acknowledged that “as a desi parent she understands that we can have an urge to slap our child for being too loud or too naughty as we have seen that happen way too often. But we need to break this cycle and no amount of action warrants a physical slap to a child.”
