Cattle Market Locations Announced for Eidul Azha 2025 in Islamabad and Lahore

ISLAMABAD / LAHORE – May 21, 2025 – In preparation for Eidul Azha 2025, the district administrations of Islamabad and Lahore have announced the official locations for cattle markets, aiming to ensure smooth operations, public safety, and to prevent illegal animal trading in residential and unauthorized areas.

Islamabad: Five Official Cattle Market Locations Announced

The decision was finalized during a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon and attended by assistant commissioners and the Director of the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI).

According to the official plan, five designated locations for cattle markets in the capital have been selected:

  1. Sangjani

  2. Sector I-15

  3. Bhara Kahu

  4. Lehtrar Road (specific point to be notified)

  5. Islamabad Expressway (specific zone to be notified)

The administration emphasized that these markets are strategically placed to minimize disruption in residential zones and maintain public order. Strict action will be taken against any illegal cattle markets, with hygiene protocols and monitoring teams deployed during the Eid season.

Lahore: Six Cattle Markets Including Permanent Venue

Meanwhile, in Lahore, the district administration has also finalized six locations for cattle trading:

  1. Wahga Sports Complex

  2. Nishtar LDA City

  3. Ravi (Mouza Nain Sukh)

  4. Burki Road

  5. Raiwind

  6. Shahpur Kanjran (Permanent Market)

Out of these, five are temporary markets, while the Shahpur Kanjran market will operate as the city’s main cattle trading center throughout the Eid season.
