PSL X: Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators battle for glory in final tonight

The grand finale of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 is set to unfold in Lahore today, promising an electrifying clash between two-time champions Lahore Qalandars and 2019 title winners Quetta Gladiators.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM, with Monday, May 26, reserved as a backup day due to the possibility of rain.

Adding a patriotic touch to the event, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a special tribute to the Pakistan Navy during the innings break, continuing a tradition of honoring the nation’s armed forces. Earlier in the tournament, tributes were paid to the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force for their role in Operation Bunayn-um-Marsoos amid recent tensions with India.

Tonight’s contest will not only determine the PSL X champion but also award the winning team with the prestigious trophy and a $500,000 prize. The runners-up will receive $200,000.

The match offers Lahore Qalandars a chance to become only the second team in PSL history to claim a third title, while Quetta Gladiators aim to lift the trophy for the first time since their 2019 triumph.

Led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, Lahore Qalandars had an inconsistent run in the league stage, finishing fourth with five wins and four losses. However, they found form in the playoffs, eliminating Karachi Kings and Islamabad United to secure their third final appearance in four years.

Quetta Gladiators, captained by Saud Shakeel, have enjoyed a stellar season after struggling in recent years. They finished at the top of the table with seven wins, two losses, and one no-result. A commanding 30-run victory over Islamabad United in the Qualifier sealed their spot in the final.
