Pakistan condemns rising Islamophobia and muslim rights abuses in India
Pakistan has shown deep concern over the rising cases of Islamophobia in India, as reported by national media on Saturday. The country has also highlighted the ongoing violations of Muslim rights there.
Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said in a statement that Pakistan is worried about how Muslims in India are being treated. He mentioned that Muslims are being targeted with hate speeches and unfair actions.
“Targeting Muslims under state patronage is a matter of concern for the international community.” he stated.
The Foreign Office called on the Indian government to protect the rights of all its citizens, no matter what their religion is. The spokesperson added that India needs more tolerance and understanding in the current situation.
He also said that spreading hate based on religion goes against international human rights laws. It also damages peace and unity in the region.
It’s important to note that in India, mistreatment of Muslims and other minorities is becoming more common. The Modi government is being criticized for not promoting religious harmony and understanding among people.
Some leaders from the Modi government have also been involved in spreading hate, which has led to strong anger in Muslim communities toward the Indian government.
