Pakistan will not allow India to violate water treaty: PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says he will not allow India to use water as a weapon and suspend the Indus Waters Treaty.

While addressing military officers at the Command and Staff College Quetta, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan not only responded to the recent Indian aggression but also turned the tables, with India facing defeat on both the battlefield and the diplomatic front.

He said that India attempted aggression under the guise of the Pahalgam incident. The Army Chief proved that he deserves the rank of Field Marshal.

The Prime Minister said that the Command and Staff College has always rendered excellent services, we welcome guests from friendly countries, and your presence here is a reflection of our excellent relations.

The Prime Minister said that the armed forces are the guardians of our sovereignty and integrity. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar proved his professionalism by shooting down Indian aircraft.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the armed forces performed excellent services for all the exams; our armed forces performed excellent services; and the Air Force performed a historic feat, hitting 7 high-value targets.

The historic success was achieved due to the professional skills of Field Marshal Asim Munir. The government and the people stand by their armed forces. Allah blessed us with a glorious victory.

Shehbaz Sharif said that India targeted innocent civilians in its aggression, and if there is any further aggression, it will be met with a befitting reply. The threats facing Pakistan are not limited to conventional war, but today, instead of a common front, it is a test of capabilities in different dimensions.

He said that the successful agreement with the IMF has stabilized the economy, reforms are needed at the fundamental level for economic stability, economic improvement has improved the lives of the common man, and the inflation rate has reduced from 38 percent to single digits.
