TV Actor Vibhu Raghave Dies After Three-Year Battle With Stage Four Cancer

Television actor Vibhu K Raghave, known for his roles in ‘Nisha Aur Uske Cousins’ and ‘Suvreen Guggal – Topper of the Year’, passed away on Monday night, June 2, in Mumbai. He was admitted to Nanavati Hospital, where he lost his life after battling stage four colon cancer for over three years.

Vibhu was in his late 30s. He was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of colon cancer in 2022. Since then, he had been receiving treatment and sharing regular updates with his fans on social media.

Born as Vaibhav Kumar Singh Raghave, Vibhu was known for his strong will and inspiring positivity. Even in pain, he used his platform to spread messages of hope and strength. He often shared photos, health updates, and motivational videos during his treatment.

His close friend and fellow actor Saumya Tandon confirmed the news of his death. She posted an emotional tribute on Instagram early Tuesday morning.

In her post, she wrote:
“My beautiful friend Vibhu Raghave with angels now. Left us last night… You were a fighter till the very end — a real warrior. Even when people gave up hope, you kept going. You never stopped.”

She also shared that the two had plans to create videos and talk about his journey, but time ran out.

Family and Funeral

Vibhu is survived by his mother, brother, and sister. His funeral details were also shared by Saumya Tandon in her social media post.

Friends of the actor had started a crowdfunding campaign to help with his medical expenses. The last appeal was posted just a week before his death.

Vibhu’s Health Message

In one of his hospital videos, Vibhu said:
“I am in the hospital. About two weeks back, doctors found stage 4 cancer in me. It’s rare and aggressive. Life turned upside down in one day. But we’re staying strong.”
