Karachi Weather Update Today: Light Rain Likely Tonight and Tomorrow Morning

Residents of Karachi can expect light rain or drizzle in parts of the city tonight and tomorrow morning, according to the latest update by weather experts. The change in weather is due to marine cloud cover that continues to affect the coastal city’s atmosphere.

A weather analyst confirmed that the sea breeze is currently blowing at a steady pace. The wind speed ranges from 25 to 35 kilometres per hour, offering some relief in the otherwise hot and humid conditions. The sky is expected to stay partly cloudy for the remainder of the day.

Temperature & Humidity Forecast

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that temperatures in Karachi could go as high as 34°C to 36°C today. However, due to high humidity, the temperature may feel like 40°C to 43°C.

Weather Across Pakistan During Eidul Adha

As Eidul Adha approaches, the PMD predicts that very hot and dry weather will continue across most plain regions of the country. However, a change is expected in the northern areas.

The weather office said that moist currents are entering northeastern parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave is also expected to reach upper regions on June 3.

Areas Likely to Receive Rain (June 2–5)

Under this system, dust storms, thunderstorms, rainfall, and isolated hailstorms are likely in the following areas:

• Kashmir

• Gilgit Baltistan

• Murree & Galliyat

• Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand

• Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla, Kohistan, Abbottabad

These weather events are forecast to occur intermittently from June 2 to June 5.

Weather Hazards During Eid

The PMD has issued warnings for windstorms, hailstorms, and lightning in the upper and central regions of Pakistan. These could damage electric poles, trees, vehicles, and solar panels, so the public is advised to take precautions during outdoor activities.
