Pakistan Celebrates Eid ul Adha with Unity and hope for regional peace
Nation celebrates Eidul Azha with religious zeal, fervour today
Pakistan celebrated Eid ul Adha with deep religious passion and national unity. People across the country gathered for Eid prayers at mosques and open fields. Special prayers were offered for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah.
This Eid came shortly after recent tensions between Pakistan and India, making the event more meaningful. Religious scholars reminded people about the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS). They spoke about the importance of unity, patience, and staying strong during difficult times.
People performed Qurbani (animal sacrifice) to honor Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion. Many distributed meat among the poor, showing care, love, and compassion.
Strict security measures were in place. Authorities made sure that waste disposal during Eid was well-managed. This helped keep cities clean and safe.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave an Eid message to the nation. He said Eid is not just about sacrifice. It is about putting others before ourselves. He encouraged people to stay united and help the country grow. He mentioned the recent border tensions and said unity is the key to facing future challenges. He also showed support for the people of Palestine and Kashmir, calling their struggles just and brave.
President Asif Ali Zardari also shared a message. He reminded the public that Eid teaches sacrifice, love, and kindness. He asked citizens to help the poor and remove hate from their hearts. He said only unity can help solve the country’s economic problems.
Pakistan’s military leadership, including the Army Chief, Navy Chief, and Air Chief, wished the nation well. They prayed for peace and praised the sacrifices of soldiers and citizens. Their message was clear: the army stands with the people and is ready to protect Pakistan at all costs.
They also honored the Shuhada-e-Pakistan (martyrs of Pakistan). They prayed for their families and promised to keep the nation strong and safe.
On TV and newspapers, special Eid programmes and supplements were aired and published. They highlighted the importance of Eid and the message of unity during these tough times.
