Free Vehicle Emission Testing Hours Revised Across Lahore
In a bid to combat rising air pollution, the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department has announced updated operating hours for its free vehicle emission testing service at 20 locations across Lahore. The initiative, run under the Punjab Transport Company (PTC), aims to encourage eco-friendly transportation while ensuring public convenience.
New Testing Schedule
The mobile emission testing units will now operate:
- Monday to Sunday
- 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with a lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM)
Key Testing Locations
The booths will be stationed at high-traffic areas, including:
- Metro Police Training Station (Wahdat Road)
- Liberty Market & Jail Road
- Shalimar Garden
- Rescue 1122 Centers
- Expo Centre & Jalopark Parking
- Punjab University Campuses
Additional units will soon be deployed along motorways and highways to expand accessibility.
