Israel Targets Iran’s Military Officials Again: Is New Chief of Staff Ali Shadmani Martyred?
Israel has reportedly claimed responsibility for the assassination of a high-ranking Iranian military official, Commander Ali Shadmani, in a targeted airstrike in central Tehran.
According to foreign media sources, Shadmani was serving as the Chief of Staff of the Iranian military and headed the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.
Commander Shadmani was known to be a close associate of Iran’s Supreme Leader and was recently appointed to his position following the reported martyrdom of Commander Gholam Ali Rashid in an earlier Israeli attack. Arab media confirmed that Shadmani was one of Iran’s most senior military figures.
Israeli media reports indicate that the precision overnight airstrike, carried out based on actionable intelligence from the IDF Intelligence Branch, successfully hit a manned headquarters in central Tehran. This strike marked a rare opportunity to target one of the top-tier leaders in Iran’s military hierarchy.
In retaliation, Iran has launched a missile strike on central Israel. According to Israeli sources, five people were injured in the attack. This marks yet another escalation in the ongoing conflict between the two nations, with both sides having previously exchanged attacks targeting military leadership and urban areas.
The situation remains tense, as both Israel and Iran continue to carry out military operations in response to each other’s actions.
