France Rafale Jets Shot Down
Paris: France claims to have destroyed drones sent by Iran to Israel with the help of Rafale jets.
According to a report by the Reuters news agency, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu claimed in his statement that our military had participated in efforts to intercept Iranian drones targeting Israel before the ceasefire.
During a parliamentary debate on the situation in the Middle East, Sebastien Lecornu said that he can confirm that the French military shot down fewer than 10 drones during the various military operations carried out by Iran against Israel.
According to the French Defense Minister, the Iranian drones were destroyed by surface-to-air defense systems or Rafale jets.
Sebastian Lecornu said that around 400 ballistic missiles and 1,000 drones were launched towards Tehran during the 12-day Iran-Israel war.
On the other hand, French President Emmanuel Macron, speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, stressed that both Israel and Iran should respect the recent ceasefire agreement.
The French president said he made it clear to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that it was necessary to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza as well.
