Banks to Remain Closed on July 1
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially announced that all banks across the country will remain closed to the public on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, due to the observance of a bank holiday marking the start of the new fiscal year 2025-26.
In a statement, the SBP confirmed that this closure applies to commercial banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs). The closure is part of standard procedure every year as banks carry out internal financial processes and account closing activities to begin the new financial year.
While public dealing will be suspended, the SBP clarified that all bank staff will be required to report to duty as per regular working hours. Employees will perform routine administrative and financial preparations internally during the day.

Occasion: First day of Fiscal Year 2025-26
Who is Affected: All commercial banks, DFIs, and MFBs
