Now Get International Driving License in Just 5 Minutes from Lahore Airport – Check Fees

In a major move to enhance public convenience, the Punjab Traffic Police has introduced Pakistan’s first-ever International Driving License kiosk at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.

The kiosk, officially inaugurated by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, Dr. Muhammad Athar Waheed, enables citizens to obtain their International Driving Permit (IDP) in just five minutes, significantly simplifying the process for international travelers.

The IDP allows Pakistani drivers to legally operate vehicles in 132 countries around the world, making it an essential document for overseas travel.

During the launch, CTO Dr. Athar Waheed emphasized that the facility is tailored to assist overseas Pakistanis and travelers who often have limited time at their disposal. “This initiative reflects our commitment to modernizing traffic services and ensuring easy access for the public, especially at key points like airports,” he stated.

The service is expected to greatly benefit passengers by reducing processing time and improving access to important documentation. Based on public response, the Lahore Traffic Police plans to consider expanding these international driving license kiosks to other airports in Lahore.

This development marks a significant step toward digital transformation and improved service delivery in public institutions.
