Former Arsenal Footballer Thomas Partey Faces Multiple R*pe and Assault Charges
Thomas Partey, a former Arsenal midfielder, has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. The charges involve three women and are related to incidents said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022.

According to the Metropolitan Police, the charges include:

One count of sexual assault connected to a third woman
Thomas Partey is 32 years old and from Hertfordshire. He joined Arsenal in 2020 and has recently ended his contract with the club as of Monday.
Police Investigation and Support
The police investigation began in February 2022 after the first report of rape was made. Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, who is leading the inquiry, said the priority is supporting the women who came forward.

Court Appearance and Career Summary
Partey is expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 5.
He transferred to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid for £45.3 million in October 2020. Last season, he played 35 Premier League matches and scored four goals. Partey also appeared 12 times in the Champions League, helping Arsenal reach the semi-finals before losing to Paris Saint-Germain.
In total, he played 130 Premier League games for Arsenal and scored nine goals.
