Six die, 18 injured in fatal bus-trawler accident near Muzaffargarh
On Saturday, July 5, 2025, a tragic collision occurred near Langer Sarai in Muzaffargarh. A passenger bus traveling from Jhang to Alipur crashed head‑on into a trawler heading in the opposite direction. The accident claimed six lives and injured 18 others.
Emergency teams from Rescue 1122 responded swiftly. They provided first‑aid to the injured on site before transporting them to a nearby hospital. Among the six deceased were two men, two women, two children, and the bus driver.
Senior police officials, including the District Traffic Officer, DSP, and SHO, reached the scene to monitor the situation. They oversaw the rescue efforts and ensured the area was cleared. Normal traffic resumed once the rescue operation was complete.
Police stated that preliminary findings point to a head‑on collision with the trailer. Authorities are conducting a full investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. Following the legal formalities, the bodies were released to the families of the victims.
Officials expressed deep sorrow over the loss. They offered heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and pledged to continue the investigation thoroughly.
