Russian Envoy Meets Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad

Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khuriyev met Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence.

On this occasion, regret was expressed over the Palestinian issue and the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza. Maulana Fazlur Rehman appealed to Russia to intervene in the eviction of the people of Gaza.

The Russian ambassador assured to play a role, Maulana Fazlur Rehman praised Russia’s move to recognize the Afghan government, while the Russian ambassador paid tribute to the JUI’s struggle against the colonial system.

The statement said that Russia and the JUI would fight against the colonial system through mutual unity. It was agreed in the meeting to use mutual relations to protect interests.

On the other hand, a delegation from the Pakistan Peoples Party met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUIF).

On the occasion of the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Maulana Fazlur Rehman again became the center of attention, and a PPP delegation led by Khursheed Shah met him.

The PPP delegation included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Zahir Shah, while Akram Khan Durrani, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Asad Mahmood, and Asjad Mahmood participated in the meeting.

The meeting discussed the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and consulted on contesting the Senate elections together.
