Tragic Family Murder Case: The Death of Krissy Pejcinovski and Her Children

18 July, 2025 12:36

Krassimira “Krissy” Pejcinovski, a 39-year-old beautician from Ajax, Ontario, was a kind and hardworking mother. She lived with her three children: Victoria (16), Roy (15), and Venellia “Vana” (13). Krissy worked at Spa Sedona and was much loved by her clients and coworkers.

Her life took a dark turn after meeting 29-year-old Cory Fenn in 2016. The two met at a local gym. Their relationship was unstable. Fenn, 10 years younger, was known to be jealous and controlling. He used steroids and had a criminal record, including charges for assaulting a police officer. He was also addicted to cocaine.

Despite the problems, Krissy let Fenn stay in her basement. Her friends noticed troubling changes. Krissy no longer wore makeup and dressed in oversized clothes. Fenn did not allow her to serve male clients at work. He often accused her of cheating, even though he was believed to be unfaithful.

On March 13, 2018, everything changed. Victoria found drugs in the house and told her mom Fenn needed to leave. Krissy agreed. That evening, Victoria went to stay at her father’s home. Roy played video games in his mother’s room. Vana had a friend over for a sleepover.

Krissy went downstairs to speak with Fenn.

The Morning After: Suspicion and Discovery

Krissy was supposed to pick up Victoria for a driving lesson the next morning but didn’t show. Concerned, Victoria called her sister. Vana went to check on their mother but never returned.

Krissy’s boss, Sherry Robinson, also got worried. She knew Krissy had problems with Fenn. Sherry went to the house, where Fenn answered the door. He claimed Krissy was unwell and refused to let Sherry in. She noticed blood on him and called the police immediately.

Police arrived shortly after. Fenn had already fled. Inside the house, they found a horrifying scene.

A Horrific Crime Scene

Krissy was found dead in the garage, hidden under tires and bin bags. Her body had multiple head fractures, 17 broken ribs, stab wounds, and a shoe mark on her neck. A serrated knife was found nearby.

Roy’s body was found in Krissy’s bedroom. He had been strangled and had blunt force injuries to his head. Vana was found alive but severely injured under a bed in the basement. She had been beaten and stabbed with a butter knife. Her friend remained unharmed.

Vana was rushed to the hospital but sadly died later that day. The pathologist believed she might have survived with quicker treatment.

Arrest and Trial of Cory Fenn

Fenn had escaped but was found hiding in a shed in Oshawa after abandoning his car. During questioning, he claimed to be in a drug-induced psychosis after five days of using cocaine. He admitted strangling Krissy and stabbing her with a knife. He also confessed to kicking Vana and covering Roy with a blanket.

Despite his claim of memory loss, the court found no evidence that cocaine causes blackouts. Witnesses said he appeared calm, not psychotic. Fenn was charged with three counts of second-degree murder.

During his trial, Fenn represented himself. He behaved erratically, interrupting proceedings and making bizarre statements. The judge called the murders “vicious and brutal.”

Sentencing and Family Impact

In February 2025, Fenn was found guilty on all three counts. In April, he was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.

Victoria, Krissy’s eldest daughter, gave an emotional statement. She remembered her mother as a strong, loving woman. She described Roy as respectful and Vana as her best friend. A family friend also recalled choosing a dress and scarf for Vana’s funeral because her throat injuries were too severe to show.

Fenn interrupted the courtroom, showing no remorse. He said, “Don’t blame me, lady,” when a victim impact statement was read.

A Family Torn Apart

This tragic case has left a permanent scar on the community of Ajax. A loving mother and her two children were taken too soon by someone they trusted. Krissy’s dedication to her children and her work made her a role model. The justice system may have done its part, but the pain of their loss will never fully heal.
