Court Approves Charges in Mustafa Amir Murder Case
Mustafa Amir Murder Case
KARACHI – An anti-terrorism court has approved the challan (charge sheet) in the high-profile Mustafa Amir murder case. The case has now been transferred to the trial court for further proceedings.
According to the charge sheet, the main accused, Armaghan, has confessed to brutally assaulting Mustafa Amir and setting him on fire inside his car, leading to his death.
During the investigation, police also discovered evidence of links to an international fraud group on Armaghan’s laptop.
The murder case was initially filed as a kidnapping complaint by the victim’s mother. Two suspects, Armaghan and Shiraz, are currently in police custody.
Mustafa Amir was reportedly kidnapped on January 6. Over a month later, on February 8, police raided a bungalow in Karachi’s Defence Khayaban-e-Momin area to recover him. During the operation, suspects opened fire, injuring a DSP and two other officers.
Following the raid, Armaghan was arrested and during interrogation, he confessed to abducting and murdering Mustafa with the help of Shiraz. They allegedly placed the victim in the trunk of his own car, transported him to Hub, and set the vehicle on fire.
This brutal case continues to raise serious concerns about organized crime and fraud networks operating in Karachi and beyond.
