Disgruntled PTI Members Refuse to Withdraw from KP Senate Elections

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, several disgruntled PTI members have declared that they will not withdraw from the upcoming Senate elections.

Candidates Irfan Saleem, Waqas Orakzai, Khurram Zeeshan, Irshad Hussain, and Ayesha Bano have all refused to step aside, despite pressure.

Khurram Zeeshan stated that he is determined to stay in the race, saying he won’t quit. Meanwhile, in a video message, Ayesha Bano emphasized that they won’t be influenced by pressure or engage in any deals, reaffirming their commitment to the party founder’s ideology.

Speaking in an interview, Irfan Saleem also revealed that 25 to 30 PTI MPAs are in contact with them, and hinted at a surprise in the elections.

Meanwhile, Rifts have deepened within PTI as MPA Tariq Mehmood and former minister Shakeel Khan openly backed dissident Senate candidate Irfan Saleem. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan warned that members who refuse to withdraw will face disciplinary action and possible expulsion. Meanwhile, the KP Chief Minister has called a parliamentary party meeting today to discuss the Senate elections and related issues.
