US Acting Coordinator for Counter Terrorism Praises Pakistan’s Key Role in Combating Terrorism

Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to combating all forms of terrorism continues to receive international acknowledgment. In a recent statement, Gregory D. LoGerfo, the US Acting Coordinator for Counterterrorism, lauded Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against terrorism.

“Pakistan is an important partner in counterterrorism,” said LoGerfo, highlighting the country’s strategic role in regional and global security. He noted that significant successes have been achieved through a joint counterterrorism strategy between the United States and Pakistan.

LoGerfo also emphasized the threat posed by ISIS-Khorasan, stating, “ISIS-K is a threat not only to the United States and Central Asia but also to Europe.”

Praising Pakistan’s operational achievements, LoGerfo revealed that the country had arrested a highly wanted terrorist and handed him over to US authorities. “Pakistan plays a vital role in counterterrorism,” he reiterated.

This is not the first time international recognition has been given to Pakistan’s counterterrorism measures. US President Donald Trump had also commended Pakistan’s actions in the war against terrorism.

The global appreciation of Pakistan’s efforts underscores its role as a “Net Regional Stabilizer” in ensuring peace and security across the region.
