Prakash Raj Mocks Female Army Officers on Social Media After Their KBC Appearance

14 August, 2025 12:23

A special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) has started a big discussion across India. The show will air on August 15, 2025, as part of the Independence Day celebration. It features three women officers from the Indian armed forces.

The officers are Colonel Sofiya Qureshi from the Army, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh from the Air Force, and Commander Prerna Deosthalee from the Navy. These women were part of Operation Sindoor, a military mission that responded to terror attacks.

In the episode, they talk about the operation and their experience in the armed forces. The promo shows Colonel Qureshi explaining why the action was taken. She says the operation was needed because of repeated terror activities by Pakistan.

The Controversy

The episode received mixed reactions. Some people praised the women and said their appearance on TV would inspire young Indians. They called them real-life heroes.

But others were not happy. Many said army officers should not appear in entertainment shows while in uniform. They believe this is against military rules and could affect the image of the armed forces. Some critics called it a “PR stunt” by the government ahead of elections.

Actor Prakash Raj also made a sarcastic comment online. He asked if the officers would appear on Bigg Boss next. His post added fuel to the fire and received both support and criticism.

What Rules Say

According to military protocol, officers are not allowed to wear their uniforms in public places or on entertainment shows unless they get special permission. Many people now want the armed forces to clarify if proper rules were followed.
