Is Bollywood's New Song Copy of Pakistani Drama OST? Sidharth–Janhvi Song Faces Online Backlash
Bollywood’s upcoming film Param Sundari, featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has stirred controversy after the release of its new song, Danger. The track has drawn criticism from netizens, who claim it bears striking similarities to the title track of the Pakistani drama serial Mannat Murad.
Viewers pointed out that the beat pattern and melodic composition of Danger closely resemble the Pakistani number. Critics also highlighted similarities in the dance choreography performed by Malhotra and Kapoor.
Social media was quick to react, with many accusing Bollywood of recycling ideas from across the border. “Bollywood koi kasmay aur koi kaam nahi kabhi copy karte hain tu kabhi unfollow kehlte hain,” one user commented. Another remarked, “Mein pehly hi bol raha tha Khair toh suna.”
Fans of the Pakistani show also voiced their preference for the original. “But Laal Suit from Mannat Murad hits different,” wrote one viewer. Another added, “I kneww it sounded familiar. So it’s a direct copy of Laal Suit from Mannat Murad.”
Mannat Murad, which stars Iqra Aziz and Talha Chahour in lead roles, has garnered popularity for its music, particularly the track Laal Suit, now at the center of comparison.
