Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, Turkish FM Pledge Stronger Ties, Call for Urgent Aid to Gaza
JEDDAH: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the sidelines of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) meeting in Jeddah, where both sides vowed to further strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation at the multilateral level.
According to the Foreign Office, Dar praised Turkey’s leadership role in regional affairs and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with Ankara on common objectives.
During the meeting, the two ministers expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and voiced deep concern over the escalating humanitarian crisis and famine in Gaza. They jointly stressed the need for the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid and relief supplies to the besieged population.
