Punjab, Kashmir, KP To Receive Heavy Rains; Floods Alert Issued

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains and potential flooding across several parts of the country.

According to the Meteorological Department, Punjab, Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are expected to receive heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds. Northeast Balochistan, southeast Sindh, and Gilgit-Baltistan are also likely to experience rain in some areas.

The Met Office has warned of the risk of flooding in low-lying areas due to the heavy downpours. There is also a threat of flash floods in local streams. In hilly regions, including KP, Murree, Galiyat, and Kashmir, the risk of landslides remains high, which could disrupt traffic.

The Met Office has advised passengers and tourists to remain extremely cautious while traveling during this period.
