How Students Can Apply for CM Punjab Honhaar Scholarship 2025

The Punjab Government has launched the CM Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship 2025, a flagship initiative aimed at supporting academically talented yet financially challenged students. Managed by the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), the program ensures deserving candidates can pursue higher education without worrying about tuition fees.

The scholarship is open to students across Pakistan, including Punjab, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Students enrolled in public sector universities and colleges will receive 100% tuition fee coverage, with both new admissions and continuing students eligible.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Domicile: Primarily Punjab, though students from other provinces in selected institutions can also apply.
  • Income Limit: Family’s monthly income must be below Rs. 300,000.
  • Academic Merit: At least 60% marks in annual exams or the required CGPA.
  • Enrollment: Students in public sector universities/colleges, MBBS/BDS (2nd–5th year), or other disciplines (3rd–8th semester).
  • No Other Scholarship: Candidates should not be receiving any other scholarship.
  • Financial Affidavit: Proof of financial need is mandatory.

Children from low-income families already eligible for BISP Taleemi Wazaif may also apply.

How to Apply

Students can apply via the official portal: honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk. Applicants must register with CNIC, email, and mobile number, complete the form, and upload documents including CNIC/Form-B, parent’s CNIC, academic transcripts, admission letter, domicile, and income certificate with affidavit.

Scholarship Distribution

  • Phase 1: 30,000 scholarships for new first-semester students.
  • Phase 2: 20,000 scholarships for MBBS/BDS (2nd–5th year).
  • Phase 3: 5,000 scholarships for students from other provinces.

The program covers engineering, medical sciences, IT, and social sciences. With a total fund of Rs. 5,868.05 million, the Punjab Government has already released the full amount to ensure smooth distribution.

Deadline

The last date to apply is September 15, 2025, and students are encouraged to submit applications before the deadline.

Officials emphasize that the CM Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship is a transformative step, stating that “this initiative empowers youth by removing financial barriers and investing in the nation’s brightest minds.”
