TikToker Samiya Hijab Reveals Why She Forgave Hassan Zahid in Abduction Case
TikTok creator Samiya Hijab announced she has forgiven Hassan Zahid, who was accused by her of harassment and attempted abduction. Samiya emphasized that her decision to forgive was made “for the sake of Allah” and not in exchange for any financial compensation.
Samiya revealed that Hassan Zahid’s father personally visited her home to apologize, and his family sought forgiveness. “His family asked for forgiveness. I don’t think the entire household should suffer for his mistake,” she stated.
Responding to online rumors about a financial settlement, Samiya firmly denied accepting any money. “I didn’t take any money for reconciliation. I have messages as proof. If I had taken the money, I would be very happy right now. I forgave Hassan purely for the sake of Allah,” she asserted.
The incident has left a lasting impact on Samiya’s personal life. She shared that it has severely damaged her ability to trust others, saying, “For the next three to four years, I won’t be able to trust anyone.” Additionally, she noted that the controversy has affected her social media growth, adding, “Had this incident not happened, I would have a million followers.” Despite this, Samiya views the reconciliation as a positive step for women facing similar situations.
The dispute began earlier this month when Samiya filed complaints accusing Hassan Zahid of harassment, threats, and an attempted abduction. The Shalimar police registered two FIRs against Hassan—one for abduction and another for issuing threats and snatching cash. Although Hassan’s bail plea was initially rejected, the case moved towards reconciliation following discussions between the families.
Samiya has also been involved in previous controversies, including denying responsibility for a private video circulated online, which she claims is fake and created using artificial intelligence. She has announced plans to take the matter to the FIA Cybercrime Wing.
Speaking about the emotional toll of these incidents, Samiya revealed that the harassment severely affected her mental health, and she had contemplated suicide twice. However, she chose to persevere for her mother’s sake.
Drawing parallels with other tragic cases of online harassment, including the murder of social media creator Sana Yousaf, Samiya called on authorities to strengthen protections for women facing online defamation, stalking, and threats.
