Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26 Kicks Off: Full Schedule, Squads, and Prize Money Announced

The 68th edition of Pakistan’s premier first-class cricket tournament, the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26, officially begins today, October 6, 2025. The tournament will conclude with the final scheduled from November 29 to December 3, 2025.

Featuring ten regional teams, this year’s competition brings together top national and domestic talent in a round-robin league format. A total of 46 matches will be played across multiple venues including Abbottabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and Islamabad.

“The Quaid e Azam Trophy 2025 schedule runs from 6 October to 3 December 2025. A total of 46 league matches will be played in a single round-robin format, followed by a five-day final between the top two teams.”

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the prize pool for the tournament has also been finalized. “The 68th Quaid-e-Azam Trophy announces prize money and squads for all 10 teams. The reported prize distribution is PKR 7.5 million for the winner and PKR 4.0 million for the runner-up. Additional performance-based awards are expected during the tournament.”

The ten participating teams are: Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, FATA, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi Blues, Lahore Whites, Multan, Peshawar, and defending champions Sialkot. Teams such as FATA, Faisalabad, Karachi Blues, and Multan qualified through the Hanif Mohammad Trophy.

“The Quaid e Azam Trophy 2025 squads include Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, FATA, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi Blues, Lahore Whites, Multan, Peshawar, and Sialkot. Sialkot enters as the defending champion.”

Star players like Abdullah Shafique, Hasan Ali, Shoaib Malik, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imam-ul-Haq, Wahab Riaz, and Yasir Shah headline the squads. Top domestic performers including Kamran Ghulam, Sahibzada Farhan, and Tayyab Tahir are also part of various line-ups.

Opening round fixtures include:

  • Abbottabad vs Bahawalpur at Abbottabad Cricket Stadium
  • Lahore Whites vs Islamabad at Shoaib Akhtar Stadium, Rawalpindi
  • Peshawar vs Sialkot at Imran Khan Stadium, Peshawar
  • FATA vs Multan at Diamond Ground, Islamabad
  • Faisalabad vs Karachi Blues at Marghzar Ground, Islamabad

The tournament follows a single-league format where each team plays nine matches. The top two teams on the points table will qualify for the five-day final to compete for the title.
