Users in several cities, including Karachi, reported internet disruptions on Monday following protests by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
According to Downdetector, many users faced slow browsing, along with problems downloading and sharing media. Data from the platform showed that about 92% of complaints were related to internet slowdown, 5% reported a complete outage, and 3% experienced browsing issues.
Internet disruptions are not new in Pakistan, where users have faced frequent outages and connectivity issues over the past few months due to various reasons.
A Downdetector graph also showed service interruptions for PTCL on October 13, 2025.
Meanwhile, the Sindh government recently banned protests, sit-ins, rallies, and public gatherings across the province under Section 144 for one month, citing security concerns. The decision came just days after Rawalpindi also imposed Section 144 to control protests related to the TLP movement.
Authorities are monitoring the situation closely, but as of now, users in multiple regions continue to report slow or disrupted internet connectivity.
