Trump Hosts Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at White House Dinner

Washington: Donald Trump, the US President has greatly welcomed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) to the White House for an official dinner, calling the Saudi leader “a valued friend of America.”

Trump during his speech said that the US and Saudi Arabia share a long and historic relationship, and he promised to make this bonding even stronger.
Donald Trump also added that both countries are working together to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.

Trump stated that Saudi Arabia plans to invest one trillion dollars in the United States, stating that it would create new jobs and support the US economy. According to Trump, the US economy “was struggling a year ago,” but new investments would help boost growth.

The president additionally stated that the US and Saudi Arabia have signed a strategic defense agreement, making Saudi Arabia “safer than ever before.” He even announced that the Kingdom has been designated an important non-NATO ally by the United States.

Speaking about regional issues, Trump said the U.S. is “very close to achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.” He claimed that even Iran may soon be interested in making a deal with the United States.

Trump also commented on the situation in Gaza, saying that the region is now “much safer than before,” and that more hostages’ bodies had been returned to their families. He mentioned that several world leaders will participate in the upcoming Gaza Board of Peace.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Remarks

Meanwhile, on the side the Saudi Crown Prince in his speech thanked Trump for the warm hospitality.
Bin Salman further went to say that  Saudi Arabia and the United States have enjoyed more than nine decades of strong relations, and he expressed hope that the partnership would continue to grow.
