Nawaz Sharif Engages with Party Office-Bearers of AJK, GB

PML-N President Nawaz Sharif emphasized that there should be no compromise on merit. He said he wants the PML-N to achieve success in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and stressed that everyone must work together to ensure the victory of the party’s candidate. He added that the best candidates must be selected for the upcoming elections.

Nawaz Sharif stated that if the political atmosphere is positive, then the election results should also reflect that positivity. He noted that the party must remain vigilant and distinguish between its own loyal workers and outsiders. He also highlighted the importance of understanding how NFC Award funds are used.

According to Nawaz Sharif, the NFC Award is not charity; it is a constitutional right. He said that even when the federal government provides funds to Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, the money is often not utilized properly. He stressed that Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir must receive their rightful funds under the NFC Award.

Speaking about Punjab, Nawaz Sharif said that under Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, the province appears to be developing rapidly. He added that people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan travel to Punjab to receive medical treatment, with most patients coming from KP.

Nawaz Sharif further stated that encroachments and land-grabbing mafias are being eliminated in Punjab.
