Four Terrorists, Including Afghan National Ubaidullah Saad, Killed in Kurram Operation

KURRAM: Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation against terrorists in Kurram district on September 8, 2026, killing four terrorists, including Afghan national Ubaidullah Saad, according to security sources.

The operation targeted terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij, with Ubaidullah Saad killed along with three of his associates.

According to the sources, Ubaidullah Saad, son of Ghulam Ghaus Salehi, was a resident of Shahi Qila village in Afghanistan’s Logar province and was affiliated with the banned Fitna al-Khawarij.

Afghan Terrorist Linked to Attacks in Pakistan

Security sources said Ubaidullah Saad was involved in several terrorist activities in Pakistan.

His identification as an Afghan national has further highlighted concerns over the involvement of foreign terrorists in attacks inside Pakistan and cross-border infiltration from Afghanistan.

Security forces have continued operations against elements entering Pakistan from Afghanistan and those involved in terrorist activities across the country.

Counterterrorism Operations to Continue

Security forces have reiterated that operations against hostile elements attempting to infiltrate Pakistan will continue without discrimination.

Authorities said there would be no compromise on the country’s peace and security or on the protection of the lives and property of Pakistani citizens.

Sanitisation and intelligence operations are also expected to continue in areas where terrorist networks or their facilitators are suspected of operating.

The security forces have reaffirmed their determination to eliminate the threat of terrorism and prevent cross-border elements from using Pakistani territory to carry out attacks against the state and its people.
