PCB opens registration for foreign players for PSL 11
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has opened registration for foreign players who want to take part in the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
“The foreign player registration window for the 11th edition of the PSL is now officially open,” the PCB said in a statement on Friday.
This announcement comes as the PSL moves into a “historic expansion” phase. Two new teams are being added, which will make the upcoming season the biggest in the league’s history. The PCB said this expansion will create more playing spots and better earning chances for overseas players.
“Agents and independent players are encouraged to complete their registration before January 20, 2026, to be included in the Player Pool,” the PCB said. It also shared that the registration link is available on its official website.
The PSL started in 2016 and will feature eight teams for the first time in its 11th edition. The auction for the two new franchises will take place in Islamabad on January 8 and will be shown live.
Earlier, the PCB extended the deadline for franchise bids by one week due to strong interest from investors in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced on his official X account that the deadline was moved from December 15 to December 22.
With this expansion, the PSL is going through its first major change in seven years, increasing the number of teams from six to eight.
