Four Indian-Backed Terrorists Killed in Kalat IBO: ISPR
Pakistan’s security forces killed four Indian-backed terrorists in Kalat district, Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Sunday.
According to a statement from the military’s media wing, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted on December 27 following reports of terrorists linked to the Indian proxy group, Fitna al-Hindustan.
During the operation, “own forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, four Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell.” The security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
The ISPR added that sanitisation operations are ongoing to locate and eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area.
“Relentless counter-terrorism campaign under vision ‘Azm e Istehkam’ […] by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the statement read.
The operation in Kalat comes a day after a similar IBO in Panjgur district, where four India-sponsored terrorists were also neutralized.
Pakistan has seen a notable rise in terrorist attacks, particularly in the bordering provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, following the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan in 2021. Islamabad has repeatedly urged Kabul to prevent militant groups from using Afghan territory to carry out attacks in Pakistan.
