Jamia Ashrafia Principal Maulana Fazal ur Raheem Ashrafi Passes Away

LAHORE: Hazrat Maulana Hafiz Fazal-ur-Raheem Ashrafi, the principal of Jamia Ashrafia, passed away on Monday following a prolonged illness, GTV News reported.

Maulana Fazal-ur-Raheem Ashrafi’s funeral prayers will be offered today at Jamia Ashrafia following the Zuhr prayer.

Maulana Fazal-ur-Raheem Ashrafi served as the superintendent of Jamia Ashrafia—a premier religious institution in Pakistan—and held several prestigious roles, including Chairman of the Quran Board and Patron of Wifaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabiya Pakistan. He was also the author of numerous religious books.

Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman expressed his grief, stating that the death of Maulana Ashrafi is an irreparable loss for academic and religious circles. He offered prayers for the deceased’s forgiveness and for the family’s patience.

Maulana Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, Maulana Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari, and Maulana Dr. Saeed Ahmed Inayatullah, among others, also expressed their deep condolences.
